Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2003 Christies in London held the auction JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING LACQUER AND WORKS OF ART, which included the work Mountain landscapes by Yokoi Kinkoku. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,458.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yokoi Kinkoku - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring and winter landscape, which sold at auction in November 2003 for GBP 3,107.00 (€ 4,460.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING LACQUER AND WORKS OF ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain landscapes von Yokoi Kinkoku zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.015,75 (€ 1.458,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Yokoi Kinkoku mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring and winter landscape beobachtet, die im November 2003 für GBP 3.107,00 (€ 4.460,14) versteigert wurde.
