Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Yin Jun was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,714.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yin Jun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crying No. 3, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 35,508.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Yin Jun kam im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.714,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Yin Jun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crying No. 3 beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 35.508,84) versteigert wurde.
