This artwork by Yim Tae Kyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work Fly Away Home #6 sold for HKD 319,500.00 (€ 27,930.15) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yim Tae Kyu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Desperado-Unlimited sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of HKD 367,500.00 (€ 32,126.23).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yim Tae Kyu erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Fly Away Home #6 für HKD 319.500,00 (€ 27.930,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Yim Tae Kyu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Desperado-Unlimited im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 367.500,00 (€ 32.126,23).
