Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Fly Away Home #4 & Lovely T-Shirt by Yim Tae Kyu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 9,261.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yim Tae Kyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Desperado-Unlimited, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 367,500.00 (€ 32,126.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fly Away Home #4 & Lovely T-Shirt von Yim Tae Kyu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 9.261,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yim Tae Kyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Desperado-Unlimited beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 367.500,00 (€ 32.126,23) versteigert wurde.
