Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
When the work Eight-Character Couplet In Seal Script by Yi Lixun was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in November 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 5,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at HKD 25,960.00 (€ 3,163.40). Admittedly, works by Yi Lixun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 118,000.00 (€ 13,286.97).
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Eight-Character Couplet In Seal Script von Yi Lixun im November 2016 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 5.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 25.960,00 (€ 3.163,40) mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yi Lixun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 118.000,00 (€ 13.286,97).
