Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Innocent Horse Whisper Has Once Again Failed to Harvest a Perfect Right Eye by Chen Yi for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,587.30). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's 100 at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Chen Yi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kathy–The International Beauty Advocate in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,966.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Innocent Horse Whisper Has Once Again Failed to Harvest a Perfect Right Eye von Chen Yi für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.587,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's 100 bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kathy–The International Beauty Advocate im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.966,51).
