Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Youth In Lanyu by Yen Shui-Long for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,710.20). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Chinese Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Yen Shui-Long have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Island and Seascape in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 560,000.00 (€ 50,094.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Youth In Lanyu von Yen Shui-Long für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.710,20) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yen Shui-Long auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Island and Seascape im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000,00 (€ 50.094,60).
