A top price for Yen Shui-Long - as previously expected
The work Island and Seascape by Yen Shui-Long was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The price achieved of HKD 560,000.00 (€ 50,094.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 450,000.00 – 650,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Island and Seascape is the most expensive artwork by Yen Shui-Long that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Island and Seascape von Yen Shui-Long kam im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 560.000,00 (€ 50.094,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 450.000,00 – 650.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Island and Seascape das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yen Shui-Long, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
