This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Session II at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
