In October 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Phantom Landscape No.3: Fairy Land by Yang Yongliang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,303.30), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Yongliang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snow City Series (Set Of Four), which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,781.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Phantom Landscape No.3: Fairy Land von Yang Yongliang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.303,30) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Yongliang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snow City Series (Set Of Four) beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.781,94) versteigert wurde.
