Despite a disappointment, a good price for Yang Yi-Shiang
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Spiritual Phenomenon - In that Journey, We Both Have Proud and Grief by Yang Yi-Shiang for HKD 16,380.00 (€ 16,727.18). This price was achieved in the auction NO REGRETS: 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Spiritual Phenomenon - In that Journey, We Both Have Proud and Grief is the most expensive artwork by Yang Yi-Shiang that we have observed at auction so far.
