Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yang Yi-Shiang could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction, the work My World Without Rain, Without Disturbance, Without Melancholy, And Without You changed hands for HKD 22,680.00 (€ 2,496.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yang Yi-Shiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spiritual Phenomenon - In that Journey, We Both Have Proud and Grief in April this year with an auction result of HKD 16,380.00 (€ 16,727.18).
