Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
When the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Yang Shoujing was auctioned at China Guardian in October 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 15,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at HKD 117,600.00 (€ 13,081.37). Admittedly, works by Yang Shoujing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Offical Script Calligraphy in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 767,000.00 (€ 90,259.99).
Kunstwerk zum Siebenfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Yang Shoujing im Oktober 2021 bei China Guardian versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 15.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 117.600,00 (€ 13.081,37) mehr als siebenmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Shoujing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Offical Script Calligraphy im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 767.000,00 (€ 90.259,99).
