Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Couplet In Running Script by Yang Shoujing. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 23,600.00 (€ 2,526.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Shoujing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Offical Script Calligraphy in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 767,000.00 (€ 90,259.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script von Yang Shoujing zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 23.600,00 (€ 2.526,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Shoujing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Offical Script Calligraphy im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 767.000,00 (€ 90.259,99).
