Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait by Yan Pei-Ming was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Beijing in December 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CNY 600,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of CNY 649,000.00 (€ 77,810.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Pei-Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pape in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,026,850.00 (€ 1,297,972.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait von Yan Pei-Ming wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Beijing versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CNY 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CNY 649.000,00 (€ 77.810,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Pei-Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pape im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.026.850,00 (€ 1.297.972,83).
