The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 220,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 129,800.00 (€ 13,363.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Li Yan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2021 the work Long and Winding Road 1989.6.5 was auctioned for HKD 228,000.00 (€ 24,410.97).
