In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Sparrows And Bamboos by Yan Bolong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 327,600.00 (€ 35,074.71), 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yan Bolong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twelve Zodiac Signs, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 688,125.00 (€ 78,651.67).

Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sparrows And Bamboos von Yan Bolong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 35.074,71) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yan Bolong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twelve Zodiac Signs beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 688.125,00 (€ 78.651,67) versteigert wurde.
