Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yan Bolong could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Dragonfly and Morning Glory / Calligraphy changed hands for HKD 32,760.00 (€ 3,790.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Bolong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twelve Zodiac Signs in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 688,125.00 (€ 78,651.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yan Bolong konnte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Dragonfly and Morning Glory / Calligraphy für HKD 32.760,00 (€ 3.790,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Bolong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twelve Zodiac Signs im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 688.125,00 (€ 78.651,67).
