Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (designs associated with the rockhole site of Tjuluntjulunga), 1997 by Yala Yala Gibbs Tjungurrayi was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney in November last year. The price achieved of AUD 2,460.00 (€ 1,600.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Yala Yala Gibbs Tjungurrayi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2020 the work LAMPINTJA, 1998 was auctioned for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,090.76).
