Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zhongkui by Xu Cao was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,559.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Cao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Riding In Spring in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 943,000.00 (€ 108,983.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Zhongkui von Xu Cao kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.559,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Cao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Riding In Spring im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 943.000,00 (€ 108.983,16).
