Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 China Guardian held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Lady Hong Xian by Xu Cao. The price achieved of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 4,004.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Cao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Riding In Spring in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 943,000.00 (€ 108,983.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte China Guardian die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lady Hong Xian von Xu Cao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 4.004,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xu Cao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Riding In Spring im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 943.000,00 (€ 108.983,16).
