The work Peddler / Calligraphy by Xu Cao was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. It achieved a price of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 29,159.28), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xu Cao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Riding In Spring, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 943,000.00 (€ 108,983.16).

Die Arbeit Peddler / Calligraphy von Xu Cao kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 29.159,28) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Für andere Arbeiten von Xu Cao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Riding In Spring beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 943.000,00 (€ 108.983,16) versteigert wurde.
