The work Mount Yandang by Xie Shichen was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2006. It achieved a price of HKD 216,000.00 (€ 20,946.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Shichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scholarly Gathering till Twilight in May last year with an auction result of HKD 10,050,000.00 (€ 1,193,150.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mount Yandang von Xie Shichen kam im November 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 216.000,00 (€ 20.946,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Shichen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scholarly Gathering till Twilight im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.050.000,00 (€ 1.193.150,68).
