Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape Of Sichuan by Xie Shichen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. The price achieved of HKD 1,387,500.00 (€ 114,347.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xie Shichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scholarly Gathering till Twilight in May last year with an auction result of HKD 10,050,000.00 (€ 1,193,150.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape Of Sichuan von Xie Shichen wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.387.500,00 (€ 114.347,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xie Shichen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scholarly Gathering till Twilight im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.050.000,00 (€ 1.193.150,68).
