Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script by Xiao Tui. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,174.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiao Tui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script, which sold at auction in September 2017 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,581.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script von Xiao Tui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.174,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiao Tui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script beobachtet, die im September 2017 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.581,56) versteigert wurde.
