Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Xiao Ping could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Winterscape changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,752.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xiao Ping have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Script Calligraphy in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,875.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xiao Ping konnte im März 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Winterscape für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.752,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xiao Ping auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.875,27).
