A top price for Xiao Ping
This artwork by Xiao Ping achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Running Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,875.27) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. This high result makes Running Script Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Xiao Ping that we have observed at auctions so far.
