Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Move Forward by Xiao Bo for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,326.33). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiao Bo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study Room, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,169.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Move Forward von Xiao Bo für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.326,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiao Bo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study Room beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 16.169,66) versteigert wurde.
