A top price for Xiang Hanping - as previously expected
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Xiang Hanping was sold in the Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,054.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy in Running Script is the most expensive artwork by Xiang Hanping that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Xiang Hanping wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.054,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy in Running Script das teuerste Kunstwerk von Xiang Hanping, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
