Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year POLY held the auction Paintings preserved by significant Hong Kong collectors III, which included the work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Xiang Hanping. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,200.00 (€ 140.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiang Hanping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Running Script in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,054.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte POLY die Auktion Paintings preserved by significant Hong Kong collectors III durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Xiang Hanping zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.200,00 (€ 140,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiang Hanping erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.054,31).
