Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Human No. 2 by Xia Xiaowan. The price achieved of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 38,958.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xia Xiaowan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work How Sad in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 5,060,000.00 (€ 439,732.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Human No. 2 von Xia Xiaowan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 38.958,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xia Xiaowan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit How Sad im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.060.000,00 (€ 439.732,81).
