The work Collection of the Mountains and Seas: Horse by Xia Xiaowan was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. It achieved a price of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 33,763.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xia Xiaowan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work How Sad in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 5,060,000.00 (€ 439,732.81).

Die Arbeit Collection of the Mountains and Seas: Horse von Xia Xiaowan wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 33.763,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xia Xiaowan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit How Sad im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.060.000,00 (€ 439.732,81).
