A top price for Wu Zifu
When the work Calligraphy by Wu Zifu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 60,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 200,000.00 (€ 23,607.16). This high result makes Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Wu Zifu that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Wu Zifu
Als die Arbeit Calligraphy von Wu Zifu im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 60.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 200.000,00 (€ 23.607,16) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Calligraphy zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Wu Zifu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
