This artwork by Wu Yongxiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Boating by Peach Blossoms sold for HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,370.18) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Yongxiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers In Various Seasons in April this year with an auction result of HKD 31,200.00 (€ 31,861.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Yongxiang erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Boating by Peach Blossoms für HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.370,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Yongxiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers In Various Seasons im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 31.200,00 (€ 31.861,30).
