Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Sleeping Crane by Wu Yongxiang was worth HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,992.18) to a buyer in November 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Yongxiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers In Various Seasons, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 31,200.00 (€ 31,861.30).

Die Arbeit Sleeping Crane von Wu Yongxiang war einem Käufer im November 2018 HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.992,18) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Yongxiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers In Various Seasons beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 31.200,00 (€ 31.861,30) versteigert wurde.
