Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Seven-characters Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by Wu Xizai. The price achieved of HKD 50,400.00 (€ 5,801.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Xizai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Seal Script in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,776,000.00 (€ 388,750.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-characters Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Wu Xizai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 5.801,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Xizai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.776.000,00 (€ 388.750,20).
