The work Eight Character Couplet In Clerical Script by Wu Xizai was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 49,560.00 (€ 5,659.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Xizai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Seal Script in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,776,000.00 (€ 388,750.20).

Die Arbeit Eight Character Couplet In Clerical Script von Wu Xizai kam im Mai 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 49.560,00 (€ 5.659,09) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Xizai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.776.000,00 (€ 388.750,20).
