Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cursive Script Calligraphy/Narcissus and Plum Blossom by Wu Xizai was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. The price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 6,089.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Xizai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Seal Script in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,776,000.00 (€ 388,750.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cursive Script Calligraphy/Narcissus and Plum Blossom von Wu Xizai kam im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 6.089,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Xizai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.776.000,00 (€ 388.750,20).
