Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fowls by the Fence by Wu Tai was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 60,480.00 (€ 6,727.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Tai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hong Kong At Sunset, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,533.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fowls by the Fence von Wu Tai wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 60.480,00 (€ 6.727,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Tai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hong Kong At Sunset beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.533,00) versteigert wurde.
