Upper estimate price exceeded by 26%
The work Viewing A Waterfall by Wu Shixian was auctioned at Christies in New York in September this year. It achieved a price of USD 1,512 (€ 1,546), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Shixian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in October 2009 with an auction result of HKD 237,500 (€ 20,764).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26% übertroffen
Die Arbeit Viewing A Waterfall von Wu Shixian kam im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.512 (€ 1.546) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Shixian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 237.500 (€ 20.764).
