Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aquatic Scene by Wu Shiwei was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. The price achieved of HKD 31,250.00 (€ 3,111.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Shiwei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blossoms, which sold at auction in April 2012 for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 9,134.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Aquatic Scene von Wu Shiwei wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 31.250,00 (€ 3.111,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Shiwei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blossoms beobachtet, die im April 2012 für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 9.134,76) versteigert wurde.
