Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Riding in the Woods, 1895 by Wu Guxiang was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,083.75 (€ 976.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guxiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenery Of Jiangsu in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 3,700,000.00 (€ 436,732.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Riding in the Woods, 1895 von Wu Guxiang kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.083,75 (€ 976,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guxiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenery Of Jiangsu im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.700.000,00 (€ 436.732,45).
