Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wu Guxiang could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Chinese Cabbage and Carrot changed hands for HKD 6,300.00 (€ 747.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guxiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenery Of Jiangsu in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 3,700,000.00 (€ 436,732.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Guxiang konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Chinese Cabbage and Carrot für HKD 6.300,00 (€ 747,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guxiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenery Of Jiangsu im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.700.000,00 (€ 436.732,45).
