Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams held the auction Fine Asian Works of Art, which included the work Elegant Gathering in the Western Garden, 1891 by Wu Guxiang. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,959.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guxiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenery Of Jiangsu in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 3,700,000.00 (€ 436,732.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Fine Asian Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elegant Gathering in the Western Garden, 1891 von Wu Guxiang zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.959,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guxiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenery Of Jiangsu im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.700.000,00 (€ 436.732,45).
