Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work A Beauty (Warring States Period，5Th-3Th Century Bc) by Wu Gonghu. The price achieved of HKD 2,360.00 (€ 287.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Gonghu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roaring Tiger in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,108.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Beauty (Warring States Period，5Th-3Th Century Bc) von Wu Gonghu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.360,00 (€ 287,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Gonghu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roaring Tiger im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.108,45).
