Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Seven-Character Couplet In Regular Script by Wu Daorong. The price achieved of HKD 5,900.00 (€ 689.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Daorong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eight-Chraracter Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 14,160.00 (€ 1,558.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Regular Script von Wu Daorong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 5.900,00 (€ 689,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Daorong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eight-Chraracter Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 14.160,00 (€ 1.558,48) versteigert wurde.
