Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Regular Script by Wu Daorong was sold in the Chinese Paintings auction at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in December 2020. It changed hands for a price of AUD 799.50 (€ 653.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 500.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Daorong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eight-Chraracter Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 14,160.00 (€ 1,558.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Regular Script von Wu Daorong wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 799,50 (€ 653,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 500,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Daorong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eight-Chraracter Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 14.160,00 (€ 1.558,48) versteigert wurde.
