Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Daorong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in August 2021. In the Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Calligraphy couplet in running script sold for HKD 10,710.00 (€ 1,166.30) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wu Daorong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Eight-Chraracter Couplet In Running Script sold at auction in October 2017 with the realized price of HKD 14,160.00 (€ 1,558.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Daorong erzielte im August 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy couplet in running script für HKD 10.710,00 (€ 1.166,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wu Daorong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Eight-Chraracter Couplet In Running Script im Oktober 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 14.160,00 (€ 1.558,48).
