Despite a disappointment, a good price for Wu Changshi
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Immortal Peaches by Wu Changshi for USD 27,812.50 (€ 25,072.12). This price was achieved in the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Immortal Peaches is the most expensive artwork by Wu Changshi that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Wu Changshi
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Immortal Peaches von Wu Changshi für USD 27.812,50 (€ 25.072,12) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Immortal Peaches das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wu Changshi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
