The work Dutch horses In A Stable by Wouterus Verschuur was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in December 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,067.00), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wouterus Verschuur have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A well-deserved rest in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 327,656.00 (€ 157,264.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dutch horses In A Stable von Wouterus Verschuur wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.067,00) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wouterus Verschuur auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A well-deserved rest im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 327.656,00 (€ 157.264,07).
